Roy Keane says Arsenal star produced ‘world-class’ moment during Man Utd draw

Roy Keane laude David Raya for his superb save to deny Noussair Mazraoui and help Arsenal earn a point against Manchester United.
Declan Rice’s second-half strike cancelle out แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ Bruno Fernandes’ first-half free-kick as the Gunners droppe more points in the Premier League title race at Old Trafford.
Mikel Arteta’s side now trail runaway leaders Liverpool by 15 points but it could have much worse for the visitors who afforde United two golden opportunities to win the game in the second half.
Mazraoui’s surging run into the box to meet Diogo Dalot’s cross should have rewarde with a goal, but Raya did superbly to tip the ball around the post with his foot from close range.
And the Spaniard came to the rescue again in injury time when he made a superb double save to deny Fernandes, scampering back to his feet to palm the ball away as it looke to be spinning over the line.
Discussing Raya’s late stop to deny Fernandes, Keane told: ‘His run is just a bit straight from Bruno when he’s running onto it.
‘We know his technique is brilliant but when he’s coming onto it it just looks a bit straight.
‘He’s trying to get his body around it but he just gives enough time for the defenders to get across and the goalkeeper to make a really important save.’
However, the former United captain reserve special praise when discussing Raya’s save to prevent Mazraoui’s effort which could have put United 2-0 up early in the second half.
‘It’s a great ball in, you’re thinking just hit the target hard and low,’ Keane added.
‘He does everything right but you have to say that is a world-class, absolutely brilliant.
‘You can be critical maybe for the goal but that was a fantastic save.’
Discussing the rest of Arsenal’s performance, however, Keane was less than enthuse with what prove to be another blunt attacking display from the north London side.
‘You’ve got to have cutting edge, cutting edge is very important,’ he said. ‘Forget Liverpool, be more worrie about the teams coming up behind you.
‘They score seven in the week, but they didn’t have any swagger about it today. United have dreadful all season, I would be looking at Arsenal’s mentality. You must smell United were here for the taking.
‘They weren’t streetwise. The next step is always the hardest one. If you’re playing for Arsenal what good is second to you?’
