Inter Milan have officially announced a new contract with Simone Inzaghi until June 2026. Inzaghi took over in the summer of 2021 after Antonio Conte left to lead the team to the league title.
In three years at the club, Inzaghi has won six trophies: Serie A, two Coppa Italia titles and three consecutive Supercoppa Italiana titles UFABET
Club president Beppe Marotta announced the news at the start of a press conference on Friday ahead of pre-season training.
“Very little time has passed since the end of a great season in which we won two more trophies, the Supercoppa and the Scudetto,”
“Today we start a new journey together. Our shirt will be decorate with the second flag and star. Just like we will go again with Simone Inzaghi.”
“I would like to officially announce that our relationship will continue until June 2026. And we hope that we will continue in the future,”
Marotta was promoted to chairman after Suning and the Zhang family lost control of Inter to investment fund Oaktree after failing to repay loans.
But this time around, in recognition of the coach’s work bringing the Serie A title back to the club, Inter have handed Inzaghi a two-year contract extension instead.
